Custom Online Reading Tutoring That Makes the Process Fun
Designed for 2nd - 8th graders that are at least 1 grade level behind in reading comprehension.
This is not an impersonal computer program - Keith will visit your home (online) and work with you and your child one on one.
Rocking Reading with Keith Deltano is an online reading tutoring program that gets amazing results.
Reading Tutoring For Elementary/Middle School Students
Keith may not look like your average elementary school teacher, but young kids love him right away. He has a tremendous amount of experience working with kindergarten through
eighth grade students as a teacher, tutor, parent coach, youth leader, educational comedian and camp counselor.
When working with young students, Keith does "voices' and "characters" to keep them engaged. After the initial consultation, your child will want to have Keith to show up on their screen.
In Home/Online Reading Tutoring Makes Students Happy!
Whether Keith is in the room or showing up on a computer screen students are more comfortable sitting at their kitchen or dining room table because they are in familiar surroundings. If coming to the home, Keith insists that a parent, relative, or guardian is always present and in the area of the home Keith is working in. The parent can overhear all the rhymes, songs, chants and techniques he uses.
And this is important: Keith turns the parents into reading tutors themselves.
If a parent drops off their child at a traditional tutoring location, they don't actually learn how to teach their child to read or how their child learns in general. At the end of each session, Keith will teach the parents why he is doing what he is doing.
Working With Students that Have ADHD, Dyslexia, or CAPD
Keith is comfortable working with students that have ADHD, Dylsexia, and CAPD (Central Audio Processing Disorder). As a matter of fact, Keith has all three himself. Keith stayed back in third grade because he could not read. For more on Keith's first hand experience with the frustration of not being able to read at the level of everyone, seemingly, in the world, check out the above video or go to the About Page.
Keith truly understands students that are struggling to read at even the most basic level, he was a non reader himself.
Your child will find this uplifting. Keith can bend down, look him in the eye and say, "I stayed back in third grade and could not read - now I speed read."
